Elements and Performance Criteria
- Prepare charts and operational plan
- Pre-operational information and Notice to Airmen (NOTAM), or industry equivalent, is accessed, analysed and applied to operational plan
- Hazards are clearly indicated on charts and risk controls are implemented
- Effects of wind velocity, adverse environmental conditions and contingency actions are planned for
- Lost link profile and routing is prepared and validated
- Awareness of current and forecast weather conditions is maintained
- Complete operational inspection administration
- Pre- and post-operational planning and documentation is completed
- Remote system operating weight and configuration is confirmed
- Pre- and post-operation technical release and remote system operation administration documentation is completed
- System serviceability is determined by approved technical inspection
- Certification of inspection for technical release is completed
- Perform operational actions/ inspection
- Internal and external checks are completed in accordance with approved system checklist
- Deployment administration tasks and communications are conducted
- Remote operated system is secured in accordance with manufacturer specifications and organisational procedures
- Perform and record operational inspection
- Appropriate actions are undertaken to rectify discrepancies and are recorded
- Pre-operating inspection is recorded in accordance with operations manual
